Prodigy hits No. 1
Rap star living "The Life"
NEW YORK -- For the first time ever and in the same week the long awaited solo album H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 from Prodigy was released, the first single "The Life" reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Single Sales Chart.
This is a first for Prodigy, one half of the platinum-selling duo Mobb Deep, who has made several appearances as part of the duo on the Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart, but never on his own. The single rose above Janet Jackson, High School Musical 2, Nine Inch Nails and Bizzy Bone to secure the #1 spot.
